So often we get asked, “What should I bring for my Everglades Boat Tour?”
The obvious answer to this question is your camera! But you’ll also want to bring the following items to not only enjoy the day, but to have memories of it for the future:
First and foremost, make sure you bring sunglasses and sunscreen, after all…you are in the Sunshine State! Ensure that you’re eyes are protected and that your skin is lathered up with sunscreen for the hour that you’ll be out on the boat tour.
What should you wear?
No, the correct answer is NOT a feather boa, cowboy boots, and a smile…. 😉
What you wear is dependent on the weather that day. You can always check the forecast in Everglades City by going to www.Weather.com/weather/today/Everglades+City+FL+34139. Generally in the summer, we recommend that you wear shorts, a t-shirt or blouse, and a pair of flip flops or sandals. It rains frequently in the summer so if you have a poncho, bring that with you just in case it starts raining while you’re out on the airboat.
In the winter, we suggest you wear jeans and a long sleeve shirt. A wind breaker is a good idea too because the Captains are more than willing to take you on a swift, thrilling boat ride. <–That reminds us, you might also want to bring along a change of….oh never mind. LOL
Bringing your digital camera is IMPERATIVE! If you don’t have a camera, we have disposables in our gift shop that you can purchase. Not only will you get a photo with a baby alligator, but you’ll also get to save all of the memories and fun that you had on your Everglades boat tour. If you have a video camera, please bring it with you and post your memories on Youtube and share it with the masses. If you title your video with “Captain Jack’s Everglades Airboat Tours“, we may even feature your video, here on this blog!
